New “Bombs” Appear Last Day of Pre-electoral Campaign

On the last day of the pre-electoral campaign for the 15 July parliamentary election, new recordings of conversations of party leaders were published on YouTube. On Sunday morning, 4 recordings of a conversation between VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski and the group of 8 independent MPs from VMRO-DPMNE in which he tried to convince them to not vote for the adoption of the Law on Public Prosecution. Another recording in length of 12 seconds revealed a conversation of SDSM leader Zoran Zaev, in which he mentions the brother of Judge Vesna Dimivskova, as well as an amount of 6 million euros, but the recording is unclear and seems edited and cut in two places. The group of 8 MPs issued a reaction to the published recordings. “We condemn the leaked conversations secretly taped at a meeting with the VMRO-DPMNE leader in the office of a lawmaker in Parliament. We urge the competent institutions to investigate who, how and why the conversations were tapped,” the reaction writes. From SDSM they briefly reacted that the recording about Zaev finally shows how edited and cut recordings sound like.
