COVID-19: 137 New Cases and 10 Deaths in Past 24 Hours

The Health Ministry informs that in the past 24 hours they have registered 137 new cases of COVID-19 in the country, after running 1,437 tests. Of the new cases, 64 are registered in Skopje, 19 in Stip, 14 in Struga, 7 in Tetovo, 6 in Gostivar, 5 in Ohrid, 4 in Kicevo, 3 in Sveti Nikole, 2 in Bitola and Radovis and 1 in Prilep, Veles, Krusevo and Demir Hisar. 10 persons have died as a result of COVID-19 complications in the past 24 hours, while 131 are registered as cured. Since the start of the epidemic in Macedonia, the total number of registered cases of COVID-19 so far is 9,547, of which 5,071 are cured, 4,034 are still active while 442 have died. On Wednesday afternoon, Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi revealed on Facebook that he has been tested positive for COVID-19, and that he shall remain in home isolation until further notice.
