New Hearing over International Alliance Case Held

The trial over International Alliance case proceeded on Thursday, after it was postponed on Tuesday due to health complications of one of the defendants. At the hearing, defendant and president of the NGO International Alliance Bojan Jovanovski presented his defence for the case, stating that Other people who were part of the NGO International Association also signed contracts in addition to Frosina Remenski, another defendant in this case. Jovanovski also claimed that current Deputy PM for Economic Affairs Mila Carovska introduced him to Liljana Todorovska, the author of the idea for construction of retirement homes, for which the damaged parties in this case, businessmen Siljan Micevski and Ardijan Amzovski, provided funds of around one million euros. Carovska reacted to Jovanovski’s claims. “In the interest of the truth I deny all the lies promoted by Jovanovski today. I have never cooperated with International Alliance or the women he mentioned, and I shall file a slander lawsuit against him,” Carovska said. Jovanovski was already found guilty in the Extortion case, where he and former Head of the Special Public Prosecution Katica Janeva and businessman Zoran Mileski – Kiceec were found guilty of extortion and money laundering.
