Constitutive Session of Parliament of Macedonia Scheduled for 4 August

Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi has officially signed the resolution for scheduling of the constitutive session of the newly elected assembly of the Parliament of Macedonia, following the 2020 parliamentary election. The session will take place on Tuesday 4 August 2020, and will be officially open and conducted by Xhaferi, even though he is currently hospitalised at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases in Skopje. From the press service of the Parliament of Macedonia they inform that the session will take place in the roof dome of the Parliament, instead of the plenary hall where sessions usually take place, so that all protocols for protection from COVID-19 are respected, since the glass dome provides enough room for all MPs in which they can keep distance between each other of at least 1.5 metres. Besides this, doctors from the Public Healthcare Institute will check the body temperature of all MPs, as well as state officials, journalists and all other guests that will attend the 4 August session. The session will also be broadcast on the 1st channel of public broadcaster MRTV.
