FM Osmani Meets US Ambassador Byrnes, UN Coordinator Dudziak

Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani met on Thursday US Ambassador to Macedonia Kate Marie Byrnes. At the meeting, Osmani and Byrnes discussed the possibilities for improvement of the cooperation between the two countries, now that both of them are NATO members. Osmani introduced Byrnes with the successfully implemented reforms that helped the integration of Macedonia in NATO, and thanked her for the support US provided to Macedonia in the process. Byrnes congratulated Osmani on his new position and reaffirmed US’s strong support for implementation of reforms in Macedonia, underlining that the strategic bilateral partnership between the two countries has been further strengthened by Macedonia’s accession in NATO. On Thursday, FM Osmani also held meeting with United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator for Macedonia Rossana Dudziak, thanking her for all the support the UN has provided and provides to Macedonia in processes of crucial importance for the country’s integrations in NATO and EU. Dudziak said that the UN is willing to help the country in implementation of reforms and policies for sustainable development goals.
