President Pendarovski Meets UK Ambassador Galloway

President of Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski met on Thursday the British Ambassador to Macedonia Rachel Galloway. At the meeting, Galloway handed over to Pendarovski letter of greetings upon the Independence Day of Macedonia (8 September), signed by the Queen of the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II. “Your Excellency, it gives me great pleasure to congratulate you on your national holiday, Independence Day, with sincere wishes for happiness and prosperity of the people of the Republic of North Macedonia,” reads Queen Elizabeth’s note. At the meeting, as the Office of the President informs, the interlocutors also discussed the UK’s support to Macedonia in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the recent formation of the new government and the cooperation between the two countries as part of NATO. President Pendarovski said that North Macedonia and the United Kingdom would continue to strengthen bilateral ties and thanked Galloway for the UK’s support offered to the country since the country gained independence.
