PM Zaev Holds Meeting with Commissioner Varhelyi via Video Conference

On Wednesday, PM Zoran Zaev held a meeting via video conference with Oliver Varhelyi upon a request from the EU Enlargement Commissioner. They talked about several issues, including good-neighbourly policy and the possibility of holding a first inter-governmental conference with the EU. According to Varhelyi, the European Commission remains committed to assisting Macedonia both financially and from a human resources standpoint. The Commissioner was interested also in the priorities of the new Government, the measures being taken to reduce the consequences of the coronavirus, and the reforms in country’s key departments. Zaev thanked him for the EU’s support in the fight against COVID-19 and presented the ruling structure’s priorities.
