Trial over Zaev’s Defamation Lawsuit against Nikoloski Postponed

The trial over the defamation lawsuit filed by PM Zoran Zaev against VMRO-DPMNE Vice President Aleksandar Nikoloski has been postponed for 20 November. Zaev’s lawyer appeared at Thursday’s hearing, whereas the PM didn’t. Nikoloski said the lawsuit was absurd. He believes that Zaev, as the plaintiff, should be summoned and testify. The PM is seeking 60,000 denars in compensation for a statement made by the VMRO-DPMNE Vice President in relation to the extortion case. In August of last year, Nikoloski had said the PM was at the top of the pyramid that had extorted over 20 million euros.
