Health Ministry’s Latest Coronavirus Figures

In the last 24 hours, 83 new COVID-19 cases have been registered, the Health Ministry said on Monday. It was added that the same period had seen 539 new tests, 146 new cured patients, and four new deaths. Commenting on the measures adopted by the Government, PM Zoran Zaev urged everyone to observe them, adding that they had been adopted primarily due to the health of citizens. If there is no compliance, hospitality venues may be shut down. With regards to the Infectious Diseases Committee’s recommendation for opening of borders with Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, and Albania without a need for negative PCR tests, but only for essential travels, the matter will be discussed at a session on Tuesday. US Ambassador Kate Marie Byrnes handed over a donation consisting of equipment and other means for dealing with COVID-19, intended for the Interior Ministry, Protection and Rescue Directorate, and Red Cross.
