Health Ministry’s Latest Coronavirus Figures

In the last 24 hours, 225 new COVID-19 cases have been registered, the Health Ministry said on Tuesday. It was added that the same period had seen 1,841 new tests, 159 new cured patients, and eight new deaths. The number of active cases in the country is 2,683. Among the new cases are Butel Mayor Velimir Smilevski, a doctor, nurse, and medical technician from the Nephrology Clinic, and two kindergarten employees in Stip. According to Health Minister Venko Filipce, it’s clear Macedonia is entering the second, autumn wave of COVID-19. Also, on Tuesday, the Interior Ministry said 785 persons had been fined for not wearing face masks. When it comes to the measures concerning hospitality venues adopted by the Government on Sunday, the criticism from musicians and hospitality sector workers continued. They will stage a protest on Wednesday.
