PM Zoran Zaev held a phone conversation on Friday with President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen, in which he thanked her for EC’s support for the integration of Macedonia in the EU, and the latest positive report concerning the country’s progress towards the realisation of this goal. Zaev also informed von der Leyen about the ongoing negotiation with Bulgaria, after official Sofia decided to block the start of the first inter-governmental session between the EU and Macedonia. Von der Leyen said that official Brussels expects a positive outcome of the negotiations between Skopje and Sofia and successful integration of Macedonia in the EU.
