The Haematology Clinic at the Mother Teresa Clinic Centre in Skopje has received a donation of 800,000 dollars from the European Command of the US Army for construction of a new department and enlargement of the Clinic’s capacities. “This is a rather great challenge that will really help the citizens of North Macedonia. I am happy that the US can provide assistance in the development of the healthcare sector in North Macedonia, and I hope this good cooperation will proceed in future as well,” said US Ambassador Kate Marie Byrnes. Health Minister Venko Filipce thanked Ambassador Byrnes for the donation, reminding that the US was also the first country to provide assistance to Macedonia in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
