833,000 Doses of Vaccines for 400,000 Citizens Secured

The health authorities have announced the plan for immunisation against COVID-19. According to Health Minister Venko Filipce, when it comes to the at-risk groups, the vaccination is a priority and highly-recommended. 833,000 doses of vaccines for 400,000 citizens have been secured through the COVAX mechanism. Requests for direct deals with two world companies have been submitted. Healthcare workers, persons over 65, and people with chronic diseases will represent the priority. The first doses will arrive at the start of 2021. The immunisation process will be free of charge and non-compulsory. Remdisivir and Favir, in Filipce’s view, shouldn’t be taken by citizens on their own. Even though they aren’t sold in pharmacies, they can be illegally bought on social media and from Kosovo. According to Filipce, there have never been recommendations to bury COVID-19 victims in tin coffins.
