At a press-conference on Wednesday, VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski said a leaders’ meeting was needed right away to discuss the current political, healthcare, education, and economic situation in Macedonia. According to him, that is needed so that “we can continue to jointly build our Macedonia”. The opposition leader added that the first 100 days of the new Government’s term had seen a lost future, lost economy, lost dignity, attacked identity, lost justice, crime, thousands of lost jobs, and many other problems. In that regard, he mentioned the Eurostandard Banka case and the electricity price increase. “1,400 lives were lost due to an absence of strategy and acute inability of healthcare, inability to manage healthcare,” Mickoski stated. VMRO-DPMNE’s stand is that a leaders’ meeting is the first step, while the final goal is early elections. On the other hand, PM Zoran Zaev said the opposition was celebrating the country’s European defeat.
