Reeker: Bilateral Issues Shouldn’t Obstruct EU-Integration of North Macedonia

Acting US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasia and former US Ambassador to Macedonia Philip Reeker said that the EU should not allow bilateral issues between Bulgaria and Macedonia to halt the EU-integration of the latter. “EU should not allow bilateral disputes to halt and stall the deserved progress of North Macedonia in the EU-integrations. We believe that these disputes should be resolved between the respective countries outside of the process for accession in the EU, because official Skopje really deserves this chance,” Reeker said during the forum “To Be Secure (2BS)” organised by the Atlantic Council of Montenegro.
