The census law is waiting for approval from President Stevo Pendarovski, but he still has no official position on the legal decision. Pendarovski’s office does not reveal whether there are any remarks and whether and when he plans to sign the decree. President Pendarovski will consult with legal experts on the adopted Law on Census and in the next few days will announce his position, for Kanal 5 informs the President’s office. In recent public appearances, Pendarovski has expressed support for the plan to conduct a census in the country after 19 years, but to be with the consensus of all stakeholders so that no one disputes the results. The key, according to him, is to perform the statistical operation without political interference.
