Zaev: Georgievski’s Opinions are His Personal, Not Shared with Government

PM Zoran Zaev denied the claims that he was aware of former PM Ljubco Georgievski’s plan for resolving the bilateral disputes with Bulgaria. “The government never did and never shall negotiate over the Macedonian identity and language with anyone. The right of own identity and language is guaranteed by numerous international charters and agreements, and no one can take that away from us. The positions of the government are clear with it comes to the bilateral issues with Bulgaria. The opinions of Georgievski are his personal views, and the government has nothing to do with that,” Zaev said. On Sunday, Georgievski came out with a controversial plan in which he advises the Macedonian government to accept the claims that the Macedonian nation and language exist starting with 1945, and that revolutionists like Goce Delcev, Dame Gruev and others were Bulgarian.
