3,000 COVID-19 Vaccines Arrive in Skopje from Russia

Health Minister Venko Filipce accepted at the Skopje International Airport the 3,000 doses of the Sputnik V vaccine against COVID-19 that arrived from Russia. The vaccines arrived after official Skopje and Moscow finalised all necessary administrative procedures for delivery. “With these 3,000 vaccines we proceed with our immunisation plan, which in the first phase covers medical workers directly exposed to COVID-19 patients, as well as elderly citizens above the age of 70,” Filipce said. Russian Ambassador to Macedonia Sergey Bazdnikin also attended the arrival of the vaccines, and said that he is convinced these vaccines will help the Macedonian healthcare authorities to save as much lives as possible.
