Filipce: First Batch of Vaccines from COVAX Mechanism to Arrive Sunday

Health Minister Venko Filipce wrote on his Facebook profile on Thursday evening that Macedonia is to receive vaccines from the COVAX mechanism this Sunday. “On Sunday at 07:55 a.m. at the Skopje Airport we are to receive the first batch from the COVAX mechanism containing 24,000 vaccines produced by AstraZeneca,” Filipce wrote on Facebook. So far, Macedonia managed to provide around 8,000 Pfizer vaccines as a donation from Serbia and around 3,000 Sputnik V vaccines from Russia, which are used for immunisation of the medical workers around the country.
