Kyuchyuk Comments on Situation Between Macedonia and Bulgaria

During a guest appearance on Sofia-based BTV television, Kyuchyuk stressed that the trust between Macedonia and Bulgaria has been damaged and that the two countries must return to the foundations of the Good Neighbourly and Friendship Agreement. “After the elections, there must be negotiations, the common history is an integral part and we must set the parameters for a common future,” Kyuchyuk said. According to him, in both countries there is no official policy of hate speech, but there are various organizations of unofficial policy in both Sofia and Skopje, which spread such speech. “One nationalism gives birth to another,” concluded Kyuchyuk, emphasizing that there is no use asking who is making provocations, when it is clear that there is obviously a problem. Kyuchyuk says that this issue was also mentioned in his report on the country to the European Parliament, adding that it is a big issue why Bulgaria did not do something to prevent such situation.
