A stable and prosperous Balkans for a strong Europe is the common goal and a strong basis for excellent cooperation between Italy and North Macedonia, they assessed. As Sekerinska and Guerini pointed out, additionally, the Army’s contribution to KFOR in Kosovo, under the command of an Italian general, has strengthened the alliance between the two countries and contributes towards the Euro-Atlantic area even more. Guerini said North Macedonia’s NATO membership was a significant step contributing to stability of all countries in the Balkan region. However, he believes it is important to NATO as well.
