Next week, PM Zoran Zaev will meet Bulgaria’s caretaker PM, Stefan Yanev. The meeting will be part of the protocol to donate 50,000 vaccines, but it will be used to agree a meeting at which there will be discussions to remove the obstacles preventing the first intergovernmental conference. Zaev believes the renewed connections with Sofia at a PM and ministerial level will produce results. Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani still considers that June is the best chance for a start of negotiations. On Saturday, he said authorities in Skopje had a constructive relation with their counterparts in Sofia. As regards Portugal’s proposal, Osmani’s stand is that it represents a good basis to overcome the dispute.
