Court Rejects Mijalkov’s Appeal

The Court of Appeals has rejected former Security and Counter-Intelligence Administration Director Saso Mijalkov’s appeal and confirmed the decision of the Criminal Court, which had previously not accepted the guarantee of over 10.8 million euros, Court of Appeals Spokesperson Tatjana Dukovska confirmed for Telma on Monday. Mijalkov has been in detention since 23 February and already has two first-instance verdicts for 20 years in prison combined. With the appeals, he sought house arrest or mitigation of the measures of precaution, for which he offered the aforementioned amount.
