VMRO-DPMNE Announces Protests

Starting from Tuesday, VMRO-DPMNE will be blocking crossroads in Skopje and around 10 other cities throughout the country. As the party explained on Monday, through the protests, it wants to force the ruling structure to publicly say what it is negotiating on with Bulgaria and what type of concessions are being offered. “We demand for the Government to release the Roadmap on which PM Zoran Zaev and the Government’s Special Representative with Bulgaria, Vlado Buckovski, are negotiating with Sofia,” the opposition party said. According to VMRO-DPMNE, if the authorities accept the conditions in the Bulgarian Declaration in the negotiations with the EU, it will then become a European, not bilateral, problem. Hristijan Mickoski said his party had to react because Zaev would otherwise accept everything.
