Osmani Informs of Bulgaria Talks as Sofia Says Conditions Aren’t Met

On Wednesday, Foreign Minister Osmani informed MPs in the frames of Parliament’s Foreign Police Committee about the course of the negotiations with Sofia. However, the opposition said his address was belated. VMRO-DPMNE MP Antonio Milososki, who chairs the Commission, said the body would file draft-conclusions to Parliament to adopt a resolution rejecting the Declaration adopted by Bulgaria’s legislative home in 2019 as being in contradiction with the 2017 deal. Osmani said he hadn’t been informed that conclusions were being proposed. Because there was no quorum, there was no presentation of stands on the proposed conclusions. Also on Wednesday, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said the conditions for the intergovernmental conference of the EU with North Macedonia were not met. The same day, Bulgaria’s caretaker PM, Stefan Yanev, too, said that.
