Reeker: EU’s Decisions on Skopje and Tirana Undermine Union’s Credibility

According to the US Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Philip Reeker, the EU’s decisions on North Macedonia and Albania undermine the organisation’s credibility. As he said at a joint press-conference with PM Zoran Zaev in the frames of the Prespa Forum Dialogue on Friday, that, in turn, sends a wrong signal that strengthens the perfections in the Western Balkans that the EU is abandoning the region. Reeker believes that the EU integration process will help lay the foundations in the region for more prosperous and more peaceful times. PM Zoran Zaev said he would not give up on finding a jointly acceptable resolution with Sofia founded on European values and standards.
