Trial over Alleged Organisation of 2017 Storming of Parliament Continues

The trial over the alleged organisation of the 27 April 2017 storming of Parliament continued on Monday. Former Labour and Social Policy Minister Spiro Ristovski said in his closing arguments that there was not a single piece of evidence that he had been part of a preparation of a plan to organise the storming. As he added, it is not true that he talked to part of the defendants that day. Regarding the communication by text with former Parliament Speaker Trajko Veljanoski, who’s among the accused as well, Ristovski said it was twisted and had nothing to do with the incidents. According to Ristovski’s defence, the client is innocent. As it pointed out, the constitutional order was not endangered, nor were there indications of endangerment of the security of the state in the period before and on 27 April 2017.
