Levica Turns down Offer by VMRO-DPMNE for Alliance

President of Levica Dimitar Apasiev turned down the invitation from VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski for forming an alliance for the upcoming local election. “On TV Mickoski said that they offer alliance to Levica, but what happens behind that is that Levica members face a harsh boycott by media outlets close to VMRO-DPMNE. The very same person that behind closed doors makes agreements with Zoran Zaev out of mere personal interest and gains, now acts very concerned and demands unification of the opposition. VMRO-DPMNE finally understand that without Levica they stand no chance at election. Levica does not intend to help someone else to come to power, Levica intends to take power,” Apasiev wrote on Facebook. Mickoski said that he is very sorry that Apasiev refused to enter in an alliance with them. “We offered them an opportunity to defeat the crimes and corruption of the alliance of SDSM and DUI, but they decided otherwise. I want to believe that this decision was made due to the lack of political experience among the management of Levica,” Mickoski said.
