The Ministry of Health informs, according to the data from the Institute of Public Health, in the last 24 hours, 5,844 tests were performed, and 870 new cases of COVID-19 were registered. During the same period 37 deaths have been reported. The total number of COVID-diagnosed persons in the country since the beginning of the epidemic is 176,494, the number of recovered patients is 156,307, the number of deaths is 5,938, and the number of active cases is 14,249. “There are clear recommendations and they are in the doctrines when antibiotic is given, and when it is not given, general doctors have real experience in that area. The process of treating patients with COVID-19 is complex. It does not refer to whether an antibiotic is given or not. They are based on assessment of age, risks, chronic diseases, previous therapy, state of blood coagulation and so on,” said Health Minister Venko Filipce at Tuesday’s press conference.
