Xhaferi Returns Inquiry Commission Request for Tetovo Fire to VMRO-DPMNE

Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi returned the initiative to form a commission of inquiry into the tragedy in the Tetovo modular hospital to the VMRO-DPMNE MPs as untidy. Xhaferi informed the opposition MPs that their request is not in accordance with Amendment 33 of the Constitution, which stems from the Prespa Agreement, which refers to the new constitutional name of the country. VMRO-DPMNE MP Antonio Milososki accused the ruling majority of trying to protect party cadres. “We believe that with this move, the parliamentary majority does not want to clear up this case and does not want to receive answers to the questions of who bears the political and criminal responsibility for this tragedy that cost 14 human lives. We believe that Mr. Zoran Zaev is still tactical to protect Minister Filipce, and the parliamentary majority SDSM – DUI to protect the authorities in the Municipality of Tetovo and the clinical hospital in Tetovo,” the opposition said.
