SCPC: There Should still be Work on Fighting Corruption

Despite the positive Report of the European Commission, the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) considers that there should still be work on dealing with corruption in the country. Just 30% of its recommendations have been accepted by institutions. For months, the SCPC has been waiting for an answer from the Public Prosecutor’s Office, State Election Commission (SEC), and courts about cases over which it has initiated proceedings. According to the SCPC, there are discretisation attempts. It adds that the needs to employ personnel necessary for efficient operations have continued to be ignored.
