DUI’s Ahmeti Disagrees with Zaev’s Decision on Resignation

DUI leader Ali Ahmeti disagrees with Zoran Zaev’s decision to resign as PM and SDSM President. “Yesterday, we had a rather tense conversation with Zaev that I didn’t agree with that movement, with his resignation from the party and as PM. I highlighted to him the strong positions of DUI. These are local elections. One year ago, we won the general elections and got a mandate to run the country’s policy. So, I talked to Zaev today again, telling him we couldn’t make a compromise on big things, on him resigning,” he said on Monday. Ahmeti stated that the decision was rash and unfounded.
