Buckovski: Talks Last for Longer Period

Vlado Buckovski, the special representative of North Macedonia for Bulgaria, whose mandate was extended to this position a week ago, told Deutsche Welle that the talks are not something that can be held from today for tomorrow, but last for a longer period. “The five points have been the subject of talks for more than a year. During the official government in Bulgaria, the communication between our and the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs continued, at the ministerial and expert level. I am personally optimistic that there will be a result, but for us it is more important – when? We expect that one of the priorities of the new government in Bulgaria will be the “Macedonian issue”. In fact, a certain future prime minister, Petkov, hinted at that in an interview 4 days ago,” Buckovski reminded.
