“Who will be the new Prime Minister should be decided by the citizens, not SDSM nominating the prime minister-designate elected by his predecessor Zaev, VMRO-DPMNE is against the formation of a government without holding early parliamentary elections,” at a rally at the party headquarters, some of the opposition MPs reiterated their request for a new election race, after which they are convinced that the executive power will not remain with SDSM. According to VMRO-DPMNE, Dimitar Kovacevski and the ministers who are announced to participate in the new government will not adopt new policies for overcoming the economic and energy crisis. SDSM is against holding early elections. Asked by Kanal 5 whether he plans to communicate directly with the opposition regarding their request and the current developments in the country, SDSM President Dimitar Kovacevski said that their position on early elections remains unchanged, now is the time for responsibility, that they have a stable majority in Parliament and are working on the election of a new stable Government with a mandate until 2024.
