Osmani: Issue with Bulgaria Is Crucial for MoFA in Next Year as Well

Overcoming differences with Bulgaria will be one of the key issues for the Foreign Ministry next year as well. As Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani said at the annual press briefing, they will focus on that in order to overcome the differences, start negotiations, but he pointed out, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has many other priorities. Osmani informed the journalists at the press briefing that the former Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva in December last year proposed a solution to the dispute between Skopje and Sofia, but two members of the agreement were controversial for North Macedonia, because it was required to sign that the Macedonian language originated in Bulgarian, and the nation emerged from an attempt to liberate itself from the Ottoman Empire.
