The Health Ministry informed that the Omicron variant has been found only in one person in the country, and that the rumours of seconds infection being detected are false. They appeal for withholding such careless statements and unverified information which might cause harm to the population in the country. Health Minister Venko Filipce also held meeting with the Health Unions in the country and signed contract saying that in the following year there will be increase of 5% for all health workers. In the last 24 hours, 373 new COVID-19 cases have been registered, the Health Ministry said on Thursday. It was added that the same period had seen 5,489 new tests, 320 new recovered patients, and 18 new deaths.
