President Pendarovski Meets OMO “Ilinden” Representatives

President Stevo Pendarovski received on Friday representatives of OMO “Ilinden” and representatives of several other associations from Bulgaria. The associations’ representatives informed him of their work and activities in the field of human rights, promoting tolerance, and building civil society, Pendarovski’s Cabinet stated. Regarding the dialogue with Bulgaria, Pendarovski’s stand is that a new stage is starting, while both sides are expressing will in direction of progress of the process. The President believes that it’s significant for every political institutor in the two countries to contribute to the solving of the open issues. According to the Cabinet, Skopje is focused on developing good-neighbourly and friendly relations with Sofia, in the spirit of the 2017 deal. Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry expressed on Saturday concern over, as it was said, Pendarovski’s last actions. On Sunday, the President’s Cabinet said no action “by Pendarovski so far has been in contradiction with” the 2017, adding that that will not be the case from now on either.
