Petrovska: Security Situation in Our Country Remains Stable

Defence Minister Slavjnaka Petrovska said at a press conference on Tuesday that at the moment there are no security threats and risks over the territory of North Macedonia amidst the crisis in Ukraine. “So far, we have not registered cyber-attacks over our country, but the relevant institutions constantly inform us about such occurrences, and have dealt with such problems, but fortunately minor ones. Like the other countries in the Balkan region, our country too is constant target of cyber-threats, but we remain resistant to them mainly thanks to our integration in NATO,” Petrovska said. She once again confirmed that so far it has not been requested by North Macedonia to deploy soldiers in the Eastern block of NATO along the border with Ukraine, but added that if such a request arrives in Skopje, the Defence Ministry shall oblige.
