PM Kovacevski Speaks on Phone with US Secretary of State Blinken

PM Dimitar Kovacevski spoke on the phone on Wednesday evening with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The interlocutors discussed the relations between North Macedonia and the US, with Kovacevski thanking Blinken for all the support the US provide in the development of the country and its Euro-Atlantic integrations. Kovacevski also condemned the Russian aggression over Ukraine, and both of them voiced satisfaction with the coordinated and efficient response of NATO and EU against the Russian aggression. US State Secretary Blinken reiterated that the US remain dedicated to supporting the enlargement of the EU with the countries from the Western Balkan, and he welcomed the fresh dynamism in the bilateral negotiations between Skopje and Sofia. Blinken and Kovacevski also agreed that the US and North Macedonia have raised their partnership on a new level now that they are NATO allies too, and that the US are looking forward to further close cooperation on a range of regional, security, and defence issues to promote democracy and stability in the region.
