Leader of VMRO-DPMNE Hristijan Mickoski said during his visit of Ilinden that his party support the proposal for Changes to the Electoral Code which would turn the territory of the country into a single electoral constituency, instead of being divided into six one like with the current model. “I stand for equality. The votes of the people in Tetovo should have equal importance and weight with the votes of those in Strumica, Kumanovo, Gevgelija, Prilep etc. I also stand for equality in processes for job applications. We should avoid practices in which some citizens feel underprivileged compared to others, which is why I stand for removal of the Badinter and the balancer regulations. Let us build a society based upon our knowledge and capabilities. So, I hope the other political parties will find the courage to discuss and implement these proposals,” Mickoski said.
