Kovacevski Rejects Mickoski’s Call for Meeting over Early Elections

Commenting on the first 100 days of the new Government’s term, VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski called on Thursday for a direct meeting with PM Dimitar Kovacevski in order for, as he said, a date for early elections to be agreed. In the interim period, he offered working groups for economy, foreign affairs, healthcare, and education. The Kovacevski Government, the opposition leader stressed, has most authentically continued all failures and wrong policies of a ruling structure that has destroyed the country for five years. Kovacevski quickly rejected the proposal. As he said, the Government is successful, while the regular elections will be in 2024, which his party will win. Regarding Bulgaria, Mickoski stated that VMRO-DPMNE would not support opening of the Constitution without guarantees from Sofia.
