Opposition Leader Mickoski Comments on Several Topics

Answering a journalist’s question about Justice Minister Nikola Tupanceski’s announcements over a new Electoral Code, VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski, during Thursday’s visit to Radovis, called for that item to be put on the agenda in Parliament and adopted. As he added, that is also a demand of the smaller parties and a deal with SDSM. However, he added that SDSM was now being tactful. VMRO-DPMNE, Mickoski added, is in favour of a single electoral district. “Afterwards, there will be no problem. We will form a working group that will work with Tupanceski on the changes to the Electoral Code and OSCE/ODIHR recommendations,” the opposition leader stressed. Regarding French President Emmanuel Macron’s comments on a new European community, Mickoski stated that VMRO-DPMNE’s stand was that there was no substitute for full-fledged EU membership. Regarding SDSM, he said PM Dimitar Kovacevski’s party and VMRO-DPMNE were not enemies. “We are just political opponents,” the opposition leader noted.
