MoI Denies Mickoski’s Claims That Police Were Not Present During Incident

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MoI) completely denies the claims of the President of VMRO-DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, that the police were not present and did not react during the incident at the “Skanderbeg” monument. On the contrary, as indicated by the Ministry of the Interior, the police were on the spot, reacted at the same moment and stopped the violence, and one person who is suspected of firing a firearm was immediately arrested. “During the protests, the police is fully up to the task and we appeal to the parties to stop with disinformation,” the Ministry of the Interior states. The video, they add, shows exactly how quickly more than ten members of the police react and prevent a major incident. The person whom VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski points out as having tried to kill him has been detained at the police station, the Ministry of the Interior confirmed. “EJ was detained at the police station, and shell casings were found at the scene. After documenting the case, an appropriate submission will be submitted against him,” the Ministry of the Interior informs. Mickoski posted a photo on Facebook showing several people, pointing out that one of them was supposed to kill him.
