Joveski: If Faults Are Detected in Finance Police Case, I Shall Act Accordingly

Public Prosecutor of North Macedonia Ljubomir Joveski informed on Thursday that he will initiate responsibility procedures if irregularities or illegal activities are detected in the monitoring over the work of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organised Crime and Corruption (BPPOOC) in relation with the search in the Finance Police Department. “Once BPPOOC Head Vilma Ruskovska is back from her summer holiday, she is obliged to deliver to my office all documentation in relation to this case, and we shall initiate procedures if we find any faults. I shall not tolerate illegal activities,” Joveski said. He also commented that the prosecutors from BPPOOC should have known that the law states that they cannot act upon reports against entities with police authorisations. Last year Joveski also announced full monitoring over the work of BPPOOC.
