Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski met on Thursday the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom to North Macedonia Matthew Lawson. At the meeting, the interlocutors reiterated the great friendship between North Macedonia and the United Kingdom, and voiced pledges for further and improved cooperation. Ambassador Lawson extended greetings over the progress of North Macedonia in the negotiations for EU membership, stating that the United Kingdom continues to provide support for North Macedonia both bilaterally and within the frameworks of NATO. At the meeting, as the government reports, Ambassador Lawson also accented the United Kingdom’s respect for the Macedonian language and culture.
