New Investigation over Besa Trans Bus Accident in Bulgaria on Thursday

Bulgarian judicial authorities are to conduct another investigation at the site of the Struma motorway where on 23 November 2021 a bus of the company Besa Trans transporting Macedonian citizens from Istanbul to Skopje crashed and caught fire, resulting with the death of 45 of the passengers. Lawyer of some of the relatives of the victims Nikolay Dimitrov informs that the new investigation will cover not only the site of the accident but also several kilometres of the road before and after it so that judicial authorities can get the actual image of the condition of the road. The case is in the focus of public attention, because investigation showed that the bus of the company Besa Trans has not met all technical and security criteria for traveling abroad, and crossed the border with forged documents more than 120 times.
