Committee Debate: Opposition Reiterates Criticism of Ljubomir Joveski

Parliament’s Committee on Election and Appointment Issues continued on Tuesday the debate on Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski as a candidate for Constitutional Court judge. According to the opposition, which levelled fierce criticism, Joveski has covered up, as its members pointed out, the ruling structure’s crime and has been responsible for unfounded charges against politically non-like-minded persons. VMRO-DPMNE MPs mentioned the Besa Trans case, the passports issue, and the Tetovo hospital fire. In their view, Joveski shouldn’t become a Constitutional Court judge. So far, the Committee has supported candidates Tatjana Vasic Bozadzieva and Fatmir Skender.
