PM Kovacevski Starts Activities in New York

By participating in the opening of the Transforming Education Summit, PM Dimitar Kovacevski started the activities at the 77th UN General Assembly in New York. The opening was also attended by, among others, Education and Science Minister Jeton Shaqiri, the Ambassador to the UN, Ljubomir Frckoski, and Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani. Over 90 heads of state and government are participating in the Summit. They will debate the best ways to advance education systems in countries. On the sidelines of the General Assembly, Osmani held a meeting with his Estonian counterpart, Urmas Reinsalu. They talked about the Ukraine situation, Skopje’s EU path, and bilateral relations between North Macedonia and the EU. Osmani underlined the need to use Estonia’s experience, especially regarding the field of digitalisation of North Macedonia’s society.
