Prominent DUI Members Criticise Grubi and Urge Ahmeti to Use Authorisations

Over the past two years, party organs haven’t been active, decision-making has become individual ownership, we are no longer a well-organised and structured party. This, inter alia, is written by tens of prominent DUI members, former and current officials, in the letter to party leader Ali Ahmeti. The letter, in Albanian is posted also on Cair Mayor Visar Ganiu’s Facebook profile. Among the other signatories are MPs Izet Mexhiti, former Deputy PM Musa Xhaferi, and ex-Gostivar Mayor Nevzat Bejta. “Within DUI, there is no longer a debate and consultation with the party’s base. The staff decisions are a privilege only of Artan Grubi,” it is also said. First Deputy PM Grubi, who is also the Minister of Political System and Inter-Community Relations, is accused of arrogant behaviour as well. They urge Ahmeti to use his authorisations, both the political ones and those according to the Statute, to find a solution in order for, it is added, party unity to be preserved.
