Levica Will Correct Initiative After Xhaferi’s Remarks

PS Talat Xhaferi remains firm on the position that the referendum initiative by Levica is not in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament, does not represent a general legal act and should be corrected. According to him, the leader of Levica, Dimitar Apasiev, has two years of experience in the Parliament and is familiar with the provision of Article 135 of the Rules of Procedure to which he refers. He repeated that the question was inappropriately posed, without, as he said, penetrating and interfering with its content. Levica has already announced that they will correct the initiative within the given period of 15 days and submit it again. However, they remain of the opinion that if Xhaferi rejects it even after the correction, they will approach a complete blockade of the Parliament. Apasiev also announced a complaint against Xhaferi for unauthorized publication of personal data in the notification sent to him.
